A 21-day live online practitioner course on India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, in separate Malayalam and English batches, run by Brain Cyber Solutions under the Maattam brand in partnership with Vectis Trust. The DPDP Act's main duties apply from 13 May 2027, and businesses will need people who can do this work, not only explain it. In this course you cover the complete Act and Rules, then work one fictional organisation's case from start to finish. It runs live online under the Maattam brand, in partnership with Vectis Trust.

Privacy as a concept, personal data and processing, privacy, confidentiality and security, and business implications. You meet the case organisation and identify its personal-data activities.
Full coverage of the Act, Rules and Schedules, with plain-language explanations and examples: applicability, obligations, rights, special situations, exemptions, regulatory procedures, penalties and commencement, with relevant GDPR comparisons.
Engagement scoping, discovery interviews, data inventories and flows, evidence collection and reporting. You produce an evidence-backed assessment report.
Priorities and responsibilities, notices and procedures, consent, retention and deletion, vendor actions, technical requirements, simple forms, registers and workflows, and checking that the changes work.
Privacy ownership, grievance and rights-request coordination, incident and breach response, compliance calendars, and DPO and fractional-service roles. You handle requests, grievances and a breach scenario.
Service definition, proposals and deliverables, client responsibilities, confidentiality, scope changes, specialist escalation and handover. You prepare a consulting proposal.
Review of your practical work, direct and case-based practice questions, and a timed mock exam with discussion.
40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, direct and case-based.
After the final exam you earn the Maattam certification, Maattam Certified DPDP Practitioner (MCDP). It needs both a pass in the exam and satisfactory completion of the practical case exercises. It is a training credential, not a government qualification.
The regular fee is Rs. 20,000 + GST. The introductory batch has a Rs. 8,000 discount, so it is Rs. 12,000 + GST, and later batches have a Rs. 2,000 discount, so they are Rs. 18,000 + GST. No. Maattam Certified DPDP Practitioner (MCDP) is a Maattam training credential. There is no official government DPDP certification at present.
The course explains the DPO role and fractional services, and gives you strong working knowledge, but no course alone qualifies anyone for a job title, and we do not guarantee employment.
